Chandigarh, November 14, 2019: Going extra mile to create Indian roads safer and ensuring safety among children, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today celebrated Children’s Day at its 14 traffic training parks across India.

Specially designed for children aged 5-10 years, the celebration was themed “Be Safe from Blind Spots”. As a part of this celebration, Honda strives to sensitize school children about the areas which cannot be seen as a driver or as a road user.

Mixing fun with road safety training, over 1,000 students from different schools visited the 14 traffic training parks across India (Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Yeola, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Trichy, Karnal, Thane & 2 in Delhi). The 1-hour long program included an interactive theory and practical session for children. During this program, they were mentored on the ways to identify and eliminate blind spots while going to school or travelling with parents in a fun manner.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President - Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. We believe that the young champs of today are not only road users but future two-wheeler riders as well. Therefore, we celebrated Children’s day at our Traffic Training Parks with a special focus on primary school children to build safer society with young Safety Champs of India! We are extremely thrilled to see the enthusiasm shown by children.”

Sensitizing people of all age groups, Honda has made 30 lac Indians aware on road safety. Today, Indians are becoming independent and safe riders via Honda’s safety riding and training programmes held daily at its 14 adopted traffic parks across India (Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Yeola, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Trichy, Karnal, Thane & 2 in Delhi). Honda also provides training to learner license applicants at its 4 traffic parks (Karnal, Bhubaneswar, Trichy & Coimbatore) & 3 Safety Driving Education Centres (Ranchi, Kozhikode & Vijayawada).
