Chandigarh,09.10.19-The Fine Arts Department of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College organized an Inter-college Painting Competition on the theme of 'Plastic Free India'. Organized under the Swachhta hi Seva initiative, the competition drew enthusiastic response from students of various institutions across the tricity. The participants, through their awe-inspiring paintings, depicted aptly the message of cleanliness and environmental conservation by adopting a plastic-free lifestyle.

Expressing appreciation for this endeavour to educate the youth about plastic menace through a creative medium, Principal Dr.Nisha Bhargava said that the college has undertaken various initiatives to aid in the realization of the vision of a clean India which include cleanliness drives, awareness rallies, sensitization programmes and much more.

Mr. H.R.Gandhar Senior Governing Body Member, DAV College Managing Committee, Dr. B. C. Josan, Member of Senate, Panjab University and Dr.Gurdip Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College, Hariana and Senior Fellow and Syndic, Panjab University gave away the prizes to the winners of painting competition.
