मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने सोलन जिला के नालागढ़ नगर परिषद् की अध्यक्षा नीरू शर्मा के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया है। उनका आज चण्डीगढ़ स्थित निजी अस्पताल में देहांत हो गया। 54 वर्षीय नीरू शर्मा पिछले कुछ दिनों से अस्वस्थ चल रही थीं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने शोक संतप्त परिवार के प्रति अपनी गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त करते हुए भगवान से दिवंग्त आत्मा की शांति की कामना की है।

CM launches cleanliness drive on birthday of PM Narendra Modi

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the cleanliness campaign from Deen Dayal Upadhaya Hospital, Shimla today on the occasion of the 69th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also distributed sweets amongst the indoor patients.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the nation was blessed to have the benevolence, blessings and strong leadership in form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was under his leadership that today India had emerged as the strong and vibrant nation in the comity of nations. He said that that this year, the birth week of Narendra Modi was being celebrated as 'Seva Saptaah' attributing as service of the poor, downtrodden and the needy.

While wishing a very happy and prosperous birthday to Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that it becomes duty of every citizen of the country to participate in the cleanliness drive to ensure success of Swachh Bharat campaign as Swachhta removes various kinds of diseases.

Chief Minister said that Narendra Modi had been launching various innovative schemes during his Prime Ministership to ameliorate the living conditions of the poor, needy and vulnerable sections of the society. He said that people of the country feel that India was now in safest hands. He said that Narendra Modi had provided the much needed strong and farsighted leadership to the Nation by taking bold and historic decisions to benefit the people and earning a special name for India across the globe. He said that Narendra Modi had special love and affection with the people of Himachal Pradesh as he knows the remotest corner and requirements of Himachal Pradesh. He said that liberal financial assistance was being received by the State Government during his Prime Ministership which has accelerated the pace of the development in the State.

Jai Ram Thakur also launched the free Langar service on the occasion in the DDU Hospital to be run by the NOVAL Welfare and Charitable Society, Shimla.

Senior Medical Superintendent, DDU Hospital, Shimla Dr Lokender Sharma urged for providing more facilities in the hospital to facilitate the patients.

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Vice Chairman HIMFED Ganesh Dutt, Mayor Kusum Sadret, Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Trilok Jamwal, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jitender Chauhan were also present on the occasion among others.

MoU's worth Rs. 4775 crore signed during Shimla Mini Conclave

Himachal government succeeds in signing MoUs worth Rs. 45,000 crore before Global Investor's Meet: Jai Ram Thakur

The State Government has adopted a holistic approach for attracting investment so as to make Himachal Pradesh an investment hub of the country, stated Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the Mini Conclave of Global Investor's Meet, organised here today.

The Mini Conclave received a humongous response from the investors mainly in Tourism, Housing, Education, Food Processing, Health and IT sectors. As many as 93 MoU's were signed during the conclave which would attract investment worth Rs. 4775 crore for the State which include 47 MoU's related to tourism sector alone.

The Chief Minister said that this Mini Conclave at Shimla was being organized on an auspicious occasion of birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that it was one of the endeavours of Prime Minister to attract investment in the country as this would not only help in promoting economic activities but also providing adequate employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth of the country and the State. He said that till date MoUs worth Rs. 45,000 crore have been signed in different sectors in the State.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has ensured that every decision of the government was aimed at welfare of the people and development of the State. He said that organizing Global Investor's Meet in the State was a major step to attracting investment as all major states of the country were organizing such meets to woo investors. He said that many other States have also conducted international road shows in Germany, Netherlands and UAE and domestic road shows in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh in which Himachal Pradesh received positive response from business community.

The Chief Minister said that with pristine atmosphere, peaceful environment, cultural diversity and linguistic plurality, the State offers entrepreneurs a variety of choices for investment. The State Government was ensuring efficiency, transparency, timeliness and accountability to investors for giving approvals to the projects of entrepreneurs. He said that the Single Window Monitoring and Clearance Authority reflect strong commitment of the State Government in this direction.

He said that the new industrial policy announced by the State Government was a step forward to attract investment. The State has immense scope in power, Tourism, hospitality, food processing, renewable energy, IT, Education, manufacturing sector etc. He said that the State was known as Apple Bowl of the country, thus there was great scope in fruit processing and fruit based industries as well.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Mini Conclave aims at listening the problems of entrepreneurs and businessman of our State and ensure their redressal so that they could leverage the maximum benefits of Global Investors Meet. He said that recently similar Mini Conclave was organised at Manali in which 93 MoUs attracting investments worth Rs. 2219 crore were inked.

He urged the local entrepreneurs to be part of the Global Investors Meet and thereby make their contribution in the development of the State.

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the Government was laying special stress on ease of doing business. He said that Himachal Pradesh was known as ‘Dev Bhoomi’ for its peaceful environment, thus making it a favourite destination for investment. He said that the State has several reputed educational institutions making it an ‘Education Hub’ of the country. He said that the State Government has announced several incentives to the potential entrepreneurs willing to invest in the State.

Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary said that the idea of Global Investor Meet was conceived and implemented in the State under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur which envisages to attract investment of over Rs. 85,000 crore in the State. She said that this the housing and urban development sector also have immense potential for investment.

Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi made presentation on ‘Investment Opportunities in Tourism and Housing sector’. He said that the climatic conditions and salubrious settings of Himachal Pradesh make it a favourite destination for solace seekers and adventure lovers. He said that about two crore domestic tourists were visiting the State every year. He said that State offers immense scope in the tourism sector. He said that the State Cabinet has approved the Tourism Policy-2019 in order to facilitate the investors willing to invest in the tourism sector.

Principal Secretary, IT J.C. Sharma made a presentation on ‘Investment Opportunities in IT and Electronic Sector’. He said that IT sector has a share of eight per cent in country’s GDP and the State has immense opportunities for investment in IT sector. He also detailed additional fiscal incentives being provided to the entrepreneurs interested to invest in IT sector.

Principal Secretary, Education K.K. Pant made a detailed presentation.

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu thanked the entrepreneurs for making the Mini Conclave a grand success and on the behalf of the State Government invited them to Global Investor's Meet being held at Dharamshala.

Director, Industries Hans Raj Sharma spoke about various initiatives taken by the State Government to ease the process for getting various clearances and highlighted the multiple reasons for investment in industrial sector.

Chairman, CII Himachal Pradesh Harish Agarwal also highlighted the uniqueness of the State making it as a best destination for investment. He also assured all help from the CII for organizing Global Investors Meet being the National Partner of the Meet.

Short films on investment opportunities in various sectors were also screened on the occasion.

Auction of property of M/S India Technomac Company scheduled for 19 September

Auction of the movable and immovable assets or property of M/s Indian Technomac Company, Paonta Sahib in District Sirmour has been scheduled for 19 September, 2019. The Enforcement Directorate had provisionally attached the property of Indian Technomac Company Ltd. for the period of 180 days vide order dated 9 September, 2019 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

A Spokesman of State Government told here today that consequently, the Excise and Taxation Department filed a Civil Writ Petition before the High Court against the order of 9 September, 2019 of Enforcement Directorate.

He further informed that the matter was listed before the High Court on 17 September, 2019. Senior Additional Advocate General Ajay Vaidya appeared on behalf of the Excise and Taxation Department and the Ld. Assistant Solicitor General of India was present on behalf of Enforcement Directorate.

After hearing both the parties, the High Court observed that without prejudice to the rights of both the parties, we allow the auction as scheduled to be conducted by the Excise and Taxation Department on 19 September, 2019. However, the said auction shall not be confirmed till further orders of Hon'ble Court.

He said that therefore, now the order of Enforcement Directorate dated 9 September for provisional attachment of property of Indian Technomac Company has been stayed and the auction is likely to be held on 19 September, 2019 as per the auction schedule.

Mahendra group gives presentation on tourism project in Himachal

A presentation was made by President of Group Public Affairs and Member of Mahendra Group Executive Board Manoj Chugh before the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today regarding various projects being implemented by the Group in the State.

Shri Chugh informed that the Club Mahendra would take up the Janjehli tourism project in Mandi district at the earliest as soon the land was finalized. He said that Mahendra Group was also implementing ‘Hariyali Project’ under which saplings plantation was being carried out. He requested the state government to provide 10 hectares of land so that saplings could be planted for environmental conservation. He also presented letter of intent in this regard to the Chief Minister.

He evinced interest in setting up pine cone, pine needle, lantana plant for setting up of energy unit for producing energy from wastes and in plying helicopter services to few destinations of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the government was providing all possible assistance to the prospective entrepreneurs for setting up their units in the state. He assured the Mahendra Group that government would extend all possible assistance to the Group for setting up their units.

Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Additional Chief Secretary, Ram Subhag Singh, Principal Secretaries Prabodh Saxena, Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary Law Yashwant Singh, Secretary Urban Development C. Paralasu and other senior officers were also present during the presentation.

HIMUDA to auction 166 commercial units

Urban Development, Housing & TCP Minister-cum-Chairperson, Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) Sarveen Chaudhary said that HIMUDA will auction its 166 commercial units worth Rs. 60 crore in Parwanoo and Baddi etc. during coming Navratris.

She was presiding over the meeting of the Board of Directors of HIMUDA here on Monday evening.

The Minister directed to expedite construction of flats and plots in Una and Mandi and taking innovative steps for development of modern and planned township in the State. She also stressed for better quality of construction and upkeep of maintenance of colonies.

She said that the Board has approved to develop the housing projects in Sirmour, Una, Solan and Dehra through private sector participation on competitive basis. It was also decided to frame policy for allotment of unsold flats/plots on competitive discounted rates. These properties are located in Solan, Baddi, Moginand, Trilokpur and Parwanoo.

The Board approved a policy for better maintenance of HIMUDA colonies and to expedite development of colonies in Dharamshala, Jathia Devi (Shimla), Sirmour, Una, Solan and Mandi towns. It also approved for grant of Dearness Allowance to the employees of HIMUDA from 144 percent to 148 percent.

Vice-Chairman, HIMUDA Praveen Sharma, Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi and other members of the Board were also present on the occasion.

Presentation on education skill given before Chief Minister

A presentation on education skill was made by Director, Bulls Eye institute Hardesh Madan before Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today.

The Chief Minister said that education should be such which not only provide employment but also enhance the overall personality of the individuals. He said that online class room or virtual class room training have now-a-days become a buzz word and supplementing the class teaching. He said that this requires minimum financial constraints with maximum outreach.

Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kundu, Principal Secretary, Education K.K. Pant, Director Education Dr. Amarjeet Sharma, Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Vinay Singh and other senior officers were also present during the presentation.
