Chandigarh,15.08.19-Under the aegis of the Founder Directors of the School Dr Earnest Charles Samuel & Dr. Annie Charles Samuel the Environment Fortnight Celebrations in Mount Carmel School reached its peak on 13th August, 2019. Little Children sporting Green Head Gears & Carrying Placards waited for the Guests to arrive. The Guests were welcomed by pinning badges that gave a message of ‘Go Green’.

The Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Shukla (India News Editor in Chief) & Guest of Honour were Mr. Balihar Singh (Commandant 13th Btc CRPF), Mr. Saurabh Mishra (IAS,SDM South & Director IT,Chd.), Mr. Anil Kumar Dubey (Ex. Dy. Mayor MC, Chandigarh ,Mr. Davesh Moudgil (Ex. Mayor MC,Chandigarh ) , Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel ( Director , Mount Carmel School ) , Dr. Annie Charles Samuel ( Director , Mount Carmel School ) , Ms. Saroj Choubey (Secretary,Shivanand Choubey Memorial Charitable Trust), Mr.Kanwar Rana ( Dy. Mayor,MC,Chandigarh ),Parkash Mishra (Director,Target Consultancy ServicePvt. Ltd), Mr. Mrinal Yadav ( M.D.Sigma Softgel & Formulation,Baddi ),Mr. Mahender Choubey (MD Kumar Medicos,Chandigarh ), Mr. Rakesh Sharma (M.D. Defence Realtors Group,Chandigarh ) , Mr. Jatinder Singh (President,Purvanchal Janhi Mahasangh,Derabassi ), Mr.Soni Goyal (M.D., Haryana Marble Store, Chandigarh) assisted by NSS Volunteers & Eco-Club of the School ’Qudrat’ planted a sapling at the School’s entrance.

The Programme began with a Welcome Dance and the Felicitation of the Guests. The School Cabinet & NSS Volunteers presented the School Magazine ‘Excelsior’ and a Sapling to all the Guests. Bhangra and a fusion dance mesmerized the audience by their beats and moves. The Programme concluded with an address by the Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Shukla the editor in Chief India News appreciated the effort of the Schools Eco-Club ‘Qudrat’ for being active in sensitizing Children and instilling a love for Nature .

The event was organized in collaboration with Shivanand Choubey Memorial Trustee Environment Saving Society Chandigarh. The School Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh said that ‘Children have to learn early to be responsible Trustee of the Planet.’
