One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 17.07.2019. Later he was released on bail.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Divesh R/o # 09, village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 16 qauters of country made liquor near shop No.8, Subhash Dhaba, village- Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Parmod R/o # 6579/A, Sector- 56, Chandigarh and Ravi R/o # 6576/C, Sector- 56, Chandigarh while they were gambling backside Govt. Sr. School, Sector- 56, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. Total cash Rs. 350/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 214, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later they released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for Theft

A case FIR No. 160, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Dass R/o # 193, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh who alleged that a boy namely Mohit R/o # 210, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh stolen away CDI Tyre and battery from complainant’s Auto No. PB-65AT-9743 while parked near Nirankari Bhawan, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. Later Mohit R/o # 210, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 161, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rampal R/o VPO- Batta, PS- Kaliyat, Distt.- Kaithal, Haryana who reported that unknown person stolen away battery from complainant’s canter No. HR-38R-1303 while parked near Plot No. 33, Timber Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. Later Aadil R/o # 258, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 162, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Himanshu Bhala R/o # 555, Sector- 2, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana who reported that unknown person stolen away who stolen away battery from complainant’s truck No. HR-68A-2748 while parked near Plot No. 06, TPT Area, Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. Later Aadil R/o # 258, Phase-1, BDC, Sector- 26, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 199, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against Parveen Kumar R/o # B-12/2131, Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab who kept servant in his shop No. 34, Sector- 8/B, Chandigarh without any intimation to local Police. Accused arrested and later bailed out.

Brij Bala R/o # 598, Village- Kajheri, Chandigarh stated that she purchased new auto on loan from Vishal Auto Agency, Sector- 48, Chandigarh on 28.07.2017. Complainant alleged that Subodh Singh R/o # 1892, Sector-52, Chandigarh employee of Vishal Auto Agency, Sector-48, Chandigarh taken Rs. 10,000/- and documents of her auto for providing R/C. But he neither provided R/C and nor returned her money and documents. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 112, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajinder Kumar Yadav R/o # 1714, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh against Vineet Verma R/o # 101, Yuva Apartment, GH-6, MDC, Sector- 6, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana who placed an advertisement on OLX in the month of March, 2019 regarding sale of Bullet motor cycle No. CH-01BL-7937. Complainant contacted to Vineet Verma and meet him at his shop No. 119, Old Ropar Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Complainant given Rs. 92,000/- (40,000/- in account and 52,000/- in cash) to alleged person. Vineet Verma handed over Bullet motor cycle and affidavit of sale to complainant and assured him to deliver the remaining documents of vehicle in some days. Later complainant came to know that loan amount is due and 08 installments are pending on said vehicle. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector- 44/D, Chandigarh reported that 02 unknown persons occupant of motor cycle sped away after snatching her gold chain near # 3117/1, Sector-44/D, Chandigarh on 17.07.2019. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 379, 356, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MAJOR SUCCESS BY POLICE

On 17.07.2019, Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when police team of Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh nabbed one Sagar S/o Shri Sita Ram R/o #55/1, Gali No. 14, New Shakti Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab), Age-27 years in case FIR No. 215 dated 17.07.2019 U/s 61/1/14 of Excise Act, PS-39, Chandigarh.

Brief Facts of the case :

Constable Suresh Pal No. 525/CP, Traffic Police Lines, Sector-29, Chandigarh has reported that on 17.07.2019, while he was discharging his duties at Chowk 37/38/24/25, he found that one white colour Indica Car bearing Registration No. HR-07R-3808 coming towards him by adopting wrong way from Sector-37 side. On this, at once stopped the said car but the driver of car tried to flee from spot but in vain due to heavy crowd there. On asking, the driver of car could not produce any document of the car and recognized as Sagar S/o Shri Sita Ram R/o #55/1, Gali No. 14, New Shakti Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab). After this, the alleged car has been impounded and kept at Traffic Police Lines, Sector-29, Chandigarh for safe custody. The driver of said car disclosed that there are 20 Boxes of Country Made Liquor (Brand Dilber Santra) lying inside the car. He could not produce any permit/license. Recovered Country Made Liquor taken into police possession and driver Sagar has been arrested accordingly.

Age-27 Years. Residential Address- #55/1, Gali No. 14, New Shakti Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab), Qualification-10th Pass, Marital Status-Married and having one child, Occupation-Helper at Saurav Chemicals, Dera Bassi, Father-working as Tailor, Mother-House Wife.

Note-He bought the recovered liquor from Sector-37-D, Chandigarh and further being sold at Zirakpur. He is doing the said business since last 1 ½ months and it was his third attempt.

20 Boxes of Country Made Liquor (Brand Dilber Santra).

The P.O & Summon Cell of Chandigarh Police has done remarkable work by nabbing one PO Davinder Singh @ Pankaj S/o Late Sh Surinder Pal Singh ,R/o # 3060, Sec-40-D, Chandigarh , present address #2484, Ph-11, Mohali in case FIR No. 348 dated 16.06.2008, U/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120 B, IPC, PS-17. He was arrest on 17.07.2019 from District Court Complex Sec-43, Chandigarh.

Other PO namely Narinder Kumar S/o Ram Balak R/o # 172, Village-Kishangarh, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 346 dated 12.10.2014, u/s 279, 337, 338 IPC , PS- IA, has been arrested today i.e. 18.07.2019 produced before the Hon’ble court of Sh. Simran Singh JMIC, Chandigarh.

After being pressurized by the P.O & Summon Staff, One another PO namely Shalu W/o Deepak R/o # 6604, Sec-56, Chandigarh, in case FIR No. 513 of 2017 , U/s 379, 411 IPC, PS-39 has been surrendered in Hon’ble Court today i.e. 18.07.2019. She was declared PO on 20.04.2019. She is proclaimed offender in two cases of theft. Her production warrant will be obtain tomorrow from the Hon’ble Court.
