SHIMLA -11 June, 2019-Governor Acharya Devvrat met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Tuesday and congratulated him for holding the reins of the country as Prime Minister for the second time in row.

The Governor discussed various issues curtaining to Himachal Pradesh in detail with the Prime Minister and also apprised him about the progress on various developmental projects in the state.

He said that the state is working extensively on natural farming and a target has been fixed to make Himachal as natural farming state by year 2022. He added that so far around three thousand farmers and fruit producers have adopted natural farming in the state and the target has been fixed to bring 50 thousand more farmers and horticulturists under the ambit of natural farming.

Acharya Devvrat urged that keeping in view the tough topography and limited resources available with the state, the comment of India should provide liberal financial assistance to the state.
