New Delhi, June 05, 2019: Celebrating the variety of refreshments Delhi has fostered over the years, Delhi Tourism’s Mehfil-E-Sharbat seeks to bring some respite from the rising temperatures in the city with the help of traditional sharbats, shikanjis and pannas, alongside modern herbal refreshments. Mehfil-e-Sharbat Festival at Dilli Haat Janakpuri is set to offer the best of Indian summer refreshments from June 7-9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. a blend of local specialities and branded beverages can be spotted at the eevent.

Sh. Sudhir Sobti, Chief Manager (PR), DTTDC said,“Indian summers without our beloved traditional refreshments of sharbats, nimbu pani, sattu and the like are incomplete. Perhaps one of the most prominent memories we all have had is that of summer refreshments given to us as kids! Mehfil-E-Sharbat is simply the attempt to provide that sense of respite in Delhi’s heat.”

In order to engage the visitors, Dilli Haat Janakpuri will proffer enthralling cultural performances every evening post 6 O’clock. Events like Bollywood Night, Sufi Night with Johnny Sufi and Punjabi Night with Noddy Singh have been organised. Other events such as comedy shows, fashion show and singing competition have been lined up as well to ensure consistent engagement and entertainment.

Apart from featuring a variety of refreshment stalls, the three-day festival will also feature traditional handloom and handicrafts and food stalls for its visitors. As families come together to enjoy the festival, children will be able to indulge in activities, swings and camel rides. An event for all ages and interests, Mehfil-e-Sharbat will provide for a much-needed interlude in Delhi’s heat.
