Chandigarh, April 20- In Haryana, 41 nomination papers were filed by 39 candidates from 10 Lok Sabha constituencies for the General Elections to Lok Sabha-2019. With this, the number of candidates filing nominations has risen to 78.

Giving this information here today, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana Dr. Inder Jeet said that from Ambala Parliamentary Constituency, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidates, Mr Naresh Kumar and Mr Rameshwar Das and Independent candidate Mr Ranjit Singh filed nomination papers.

He said that from Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Nayab Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mr Vikram Singh of Bharatiya Shakti Chetna Party and Independent candidates, Mr Sachin Gabba, Mr Balbir Singh and Mr Ramesh Chander filed their nomination. Similarly, from Sirsa Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Ashok Tanwar of Congress party, Mr Nirmal Singh of Jan Nayak Janata Party, Mr Janak Raj of BSP, Mr Rajesh of People’s Party of India (Democratic), and Mr Jaswant of Bharatiya Chetna Party filed their nomination whereas, Mr Sanjay Bhatia of BJP filed his nomination paper from Karnal Parliamentary constituency.

Dr Inder Jeet said that from Rohtak Parliamentary Constituency, Independent candidates, Mr Krishan and Mr Ashok, from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh Parliamentary Constituency, Mohammad Irfan of Bharat Prabhat Party and Independent candidates, Mr Dharamvir Singh and Mr Jagat Singh filed their nomination papers. From Sonipat Parliamentary Constituency, Mrs Rabala Saini of Lok Tantra Suraksha Party, Mr Sukhminder Singh Kharab of Rashtriya Jaatigat Arakshan Virodhi Party, Mr Mahabir of Rashtriya Majdoor Ekta Party, Mr Surender Kumar and Mrs Babita of Indian National Lok Dal filed their nomination papers.

From Hisar Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Brijender Singh of BJP, Mr Pawan Kumar of Rashtriya Bhaagidari Samaj Party, Mr Dushyant Chautala of Jan Nayak Janta Party, Mr Sandeep of Bharatiya Prabhat Party, Mr Sanjay Kumar of Ambedkar Samaj Party, Mr Jai Bhagwan of Bahujan Mukti Party and Independent Candidates, Mr Atamprakash and Mr Anup Mehta, filed their nominations.

He said that from Gurugram Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Raes Ahmed of BSP, Mr Shravan Kumar of SUCI (Communist) and Independent candidate, Mr Virender filed their nominations. From Faridabad Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Mandhir of BSP, Mr Bijender Kumar Kasana of Bharatiya Kisan Party, Mr Mahesh Pratap Sharma of Rashtriya Vikas Party and Independent candidate, Mr Manoj Kumar filed their nomination papers.
Three most wanted criminals carrying reward of Rs1.30 lakh arrested

Chandigarh, April 20 - In a major break-through, Haryana Police, in separate incidents, has arrested three most wanted criminals from Palwal district who had been carrying a total reward of Rs 1.30 lakh on their arrest. Four illegal pistols and 11 live cartridges were also recovered from their possession.

While sating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested criminals have been identified as Shakeel alias Kala Pehalwan, Salauddin and Aarif alias Chuttli.

While Shakeel alais Kala Pehalwan and Salauddin carried a reward of Rs one lakh and Rs 25,000 respectively on their arrest, a bounty of Rs 5,000 had been announced for Aarif alias Chuttli.

In a first incident, acting on a tip off, a team of Crime Investigation Agency and Anti Vehicle Theft has arrested dreaded and most wanted Shakeel alais Kala Pehalwan, a resident of village Kot in Palwal following a raid. Police team had also recovered two country made pistols and eight live cartridges from him. He was wanted in atleast nine criminal cases and was declared a proclaimed offender.

In another case, a team of Anti Vehicle Theft, Hathin, based on a specific input, has nabbed most wanted Salauddin from Guraksar-Khilluka road involved in several criminal cases including robbery, kidnapping and illegal arms registered in Palwal, Faridabad, Nuh and Agra in Uttar Pradesh. A reward of Rs25,000 was announced on his head. A country made pistol and one live cartridge was also recovered from his possession.

In a similar incident, Crime Investigation Agency in Palwal has arrested most wanted criminal Aarif alias Chuttli during a raid from near Mithaka T-Point near Utaward Chowk in Palwal. A reward of Rs 5000 was announced on his arrest. He was involved in as many as 11 cases of loot, robbery and cow slaughter registered in Haryana and Rajasthan. A desi pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from this possession.
Five Proclaimed Offenders arrested

Chandigarh April 20 – In separate incidents, sleuths of Haryana Police have arrested four persons from Rohtak and one from Charkhi Dadri district, who were declared Proclaimed Offenders (POs) by the Court.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that as a part of special campaign to arrest POs, bail jumpers and parole jumpers, sleuths of Thana Civil Lines, Rohtak nabbed Sonu alias Kala, a resident of village Balm in Rohtak, absconding for last five years. A case regarding theft was registered against him in year 2008. He was declared PO by the Court in year 2014.

In another case, cops of Thana Meham have arrested Vishal of Bhaini Chandrapal and Kuldeep of village Rabra in Sonipat. Both were declared PO in October 2018 and January 2019 respectively.

Another PO Urga Nath Mishra, a resident of Rohini, Delhi was arrested by police personnel of Thana Lakhanmajra, who was declared PO in December 2018.

Similarly, Special branch in Charki Dadri under a special drive has arrested Puneet alias Karwan of village Dalamwala in Jind, who were declared PO by the Court in a case registered under Arms Act in year 2016.

Four held with 384 bottles of illicit liquor

Chandigarh, April 20 – Haryana Police has seized 360 bottles of illicit liquor from a Bolero vehicle and arrested two persons in this connection from Fatehabad district.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that acting on the reliable inputs, police team has intercepted the vehicle and during the search, it has recovered 360 bottles of illicit liquor. The accused failed to produce permit of liquor.

Accused were identified as Randhir Singh, a resident of district Hisar and Pawan Kumar of district Sirsa. . A case under Excise Act in this regard was registered against them.

In two separate incidents, Police party has nabbed Mahender Singh and Ramesh and recovered 24 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
