New Delhi March 4, 2019 FICCI Ladies Organisation, (FLO), Women business wing of FICCI in association with Vital Voices is organising the Global Mentoring Walk in New Delhi on Friday, March 8, 2019 in New Delhi The mentor walk is held world wide each year as part of International Women's day .

Historic 182 Global mentoring Walks with the theme #BalanceForBetter are scheduled to take place in 68 countries n March 8 & 9, 2019. International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political contributions of women around the world. International Women’s Day serves as a call to action to close the gap between progress and potential, in order to accelerate gender parity globally.

“FICCI FLO will once again serve as local flag bearers for this global event for the Third time. The walk is designed to bring together established women leaders and emerging women leaders to provide mentorship, guidance and support that will empower emerging women leaders to succeed.” Said Ms Pinky Reddy, President, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO).

“Around 100 participants who are influential and high profile women leaders in the business community will walk together as mentors and mentees to discuss their challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship in the region.” Said Ms Reddy.

“Mentorship and guidance are the key tools that has the potential to help women entrepreneurs and professionals grow their businesses, and in many cases, change their lives. The objective of the Mentoring Walk is to link established women entrepreneurs & professionals as mentors to emerging ones. This linkage will bring them together under one platform, to walk together and discuss their professional challenges and successes and establish a mentoring relationship, in which the seasoned leader guides, advises and supports her peer.’’ She added.
