Haryana Directorate for Fire Service has decided to purchase 102 special type of fire-fighting motorcycles to tackle fire and emergency situations in narrow lanes.

Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Directorate for Fire Service has decided to purchase 102 special type of fire-fighting motorcycles to tackle fire and emergency situations in narrow lanes. A sum of Rs 5.85 crore would be spent on this, for which approval has been given by the High Level Purchase Committee.
        While stating this today, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said that the State Government would soon purchase 216 necessary vehicle and fire-fighting equipment at a cost of Rs 22.81 crore.
        She said that Rs seven crore would be spent on 52 truck tanker, Rs 3.25 crore on 23 tankers of 7,000 litres to 12,000 litres capacity, Rs 3.14 crore on 21 foam mixer-dispenser to deal with fire which outbreak as a result of rubber, plastic and oil, and Rs 1.93 crore on five advance rescue fire-fighting equipment.
        The Minister said that five small fire-fighting tankers of 2,000 litres capacity would be purchased at a cost of Rs 73 lakh, three fire-fighting water spray equipment would be purchased at a cost of Rs 45 lakh and cabin chassis of five trucks would be purchased at a cost of Rs 46 lakh.

Chandigarh, Feb 24–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that Haryana and UP have religious, mythological, and cultural relations for several decades and these relations would be made stronger..

        Addressing a gathering during Rangotsav-Lathmar Holi organised at Barsana in UP, today, the Chief Minister said Holi, the festival of love and joy, is being celebrated in the country since ancient times. It is celebrated in different forms during the entire Falgun month in Braj. 
        While UP is the ‘Janamsthal’ (birthplace) of Lord Krishna and Kurukshetra of Haryana is the ‘Karamsthali’ of Lord Krishna.Referring to UP as the theme state at the Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2018 organised at Surajkund in Faridabad district, the Chief Minister said relations with UP would be developed in other fields as well.
        Speaking on the occasion, UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said the Haryana Government would undertake renovation of 84 kos parikrama marg at Braj area. He expressed gratitude to the Haryana Government, especially the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, for this step.
        UP Women’s Welfare and Tourism Minister, Mrs. Reeta Bahuguna Joshi, and Dairy Development and Religious Affairs Minister, Mr. Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, also spoke on this occasion.

 Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have decided to work together to improve the law-and-order situation in the two states

Chandigarh, Feb 24–Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have decided to work together to improve the law-and-order situation in the two states, take steps to check illegal mining and solve the common issues affecting the people of the two neighbours.    

 This was decided at a meeting held between the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, and UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, in Mathura, today.

 It has been decided that Director Generals of Police of both states would meet every three months on a regular basis. Senior officers of Delhi Police would also attend the meeting. Yogi Adityanath said both states would work together on common issues to facilitate people of both states.

 The Chief Secretaries of both states would meet soon to ensure availability of adequate amount of irrigation water in Agra Canal and cleanliness of minors. Both states would work together for the construction of bridge on the Yamuna near Hasanpur in Palwal district of Haryana. 

       To solve excise related issues, a meeting of senior officers of both states would be held along with officers of Rajasthan, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. Both states would jointly work to put a check on illegal mining. Also, exchange of cultural activities would be done on a regular basis.

     Mr. Manohar Lal said the 84 kos parikrama falling in Braj area of Haryana would be renovated. Besides, renovation work of some religious and pilgrimage places in Braj area will also be undertaken as announced by him.

In this connection, a meeting of senior officers Tourism and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Departments of both Haryana and UP would be held soon, he added.


        Others present at the meeting included UP Dairy Development and Religious Affairs Minister, Mr. Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, and Energy Minister, Mr. Shrikant Sharma.

Policy parameters decided to be followed in the examination and disposal of the cases pertaining to request for grant of permission for change of land use for setting up of educational institute in the agriculture zone of the development plan.

Chandigarh Feb 24- Haryana Government has decided the policy parameters to be followed in the examination and disposal of the cases pertaining to request for grant of permission for change of land use for setting up of educational institute in the agriculture zone of the development plan.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Town and Country Planning Department said that the proposed educational institute should have been conceptualized as supporting the hinter land for rural areas and urbanisable area surrounding it.
          He said that the site should be approachable from minimum 33ft. wide revenue Rasta or public road, in case of primary school, middle school and high school. However, in case of University or  Engineering or Architecture College, Medical College, B.Ed college, ITI, Polytechnic, Hotel Management college, Bank sponsored training, In-house training centers of industries or corporation,  Skill Development Centers, specialized Technical Training Institutes and Skill Training Institutes for providing self employment, the site should be approachable from minimum 40 ft. wide revenue rasta or public road.
          The spokesman said that the area norms for education facility as per policy dated January 8, 2014 and dated February 11, 2016 would be followed. He said that on getting the permission for change of land use, the applicants would conform to relevant norms of respective regulatory department or agencies in the State besides, the genuineness certificate from the concerned Deputy Commissioner.
          He said that in case of a proposed skill development centre and a specialized technical training institute, the application should be accompanied by a scheme or plan of their surrounding region in term of providing the opportunities for the relevant skilling to the local youth. The proposed skill development centre and specialized technical training institute would also submit a plan for the opportunities of the development concerned region under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), if the institute is running technical or skill centre.
          The spokesman said that the applicant seeking permission for change of land use, would  not transfer the said permission or area for a minimum period of three years after grant of occupation certificate and the land is put to the permitted use.
          He said that setting up of educational institutions in agriculture zone would be treated as permissible use in the agriculture zone and therefore, an amendment in the zoning regulations of the development plans would be carried out. He said that the parameters as mentioned in this policy would also be made part of zoning regulations of the development plan. He said that till the final notification of the amendments of zoning regulations of various development plans, the cases for allowing educational institutes in the agriculture zone subject to compliance of policy parameters would be submitted to the Government for consideration and approval.
