Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 06 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 3 cases, PS-17 = 1 case, PS-19= 2 cases. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

MV Theft

Sh. Satish R/o Village Rampur, Distt. Karnal, (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away Complainant’s Hero Splendor M/Cycle HR75-6063 parked in front of Sweets Shop near Wine Shop, Dhanas, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 09, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Vinay Dogra R/o # 5077, Sector-38/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-04A-5002 parked near Gate No. 3, MHC Mani Majra, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 18, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Ram Saroop R/o # 19, Guru Nanak Nagar, Baltana, Distt. Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away Complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. PB-65X-9052 parked near Plot No. 1045, Ind. Area Ph-2, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector-22/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away purse containing cash Rs. 1800/-, 3 ATM cards from her car No. CH-01AH-6442 parked near Community Center, Sector-21, Chandigarh on 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 12, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Nathu Ram R/o # 315, Ph-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 2 mobile phones & cash Rs. 5,000/- from his residence on 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Kidnapped

A person resident of Tin Colony, Sector 52, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 15 years has been missing from near Govt. School, Sector 50, Chandigarh since 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A person resident of DMC, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 17 years has been missing from her residence since 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Sector 47, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons on motor cycle snatched away her gold chain near her residence on 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Rangi Lal (Rickshaw puller) R/o # 582C, Dhanas Complex, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons on motor cycle snatched away purse containing cash Rs. 400/-, mobile phone, Keys, Pen Drive and some documents from a lady (passenger) resident of Sector-32/A, Chandigarh near H.No. 302, Sector-32/A, Chandigarh on 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 21, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-38/A, Chandigarh alleged that 2 unknown persons on motor cycle snatched away one gold ear ring from complainant near Saint Stephen School, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh on 12.01.2018. A case FIR No. 13, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
