Chandigarh Chapter of RSSDI Inaugural CME & Endo Alumni Update was successfully organised today at PGIMER with around 70 percent of Endocrinology alumni of PGIMER, Chandigarh coming from all over the globe and participating in this meeting.

The meeting was inaugurated by Prof. Vivek Lal, Director PGIMER Setting the context of the Conference, Prof. Sanjay Bhadada, Head, Department of Endocrinology & Metabolism, PGIMER informed that the conference is an important event for diabetes as well as Bone and mineral metabolism

Prof Sriprakash from USA delivered his talk on islet cell transplantation, a new hope for type 1 diabetes. Dr Ashish Sharma, Head, Deptt. of Renal Transplant, PGIMER shared experience on simultaneous pancreas and kidney transplant.Prof S Nikhil Tandon , Head, Endocrinology & Metabolism at AIIMS delivered a talk on How gestational diabetes can cause cardiac problem and how to prevent it.

Following the successful organisation of Chandigarh Chapter of RSSDI Inaugural CME & Endo Alumni Update, 18^th Annual Meeting of Indian society for Bone and Mineral Research will start tomorrow and is being organised on 18-19^th September at LT 1 Complex of PGIMER . Approximately 300 participants from across country and across the globe are participating in it.
