CHANDIGARH,13.08.22-Chandigarh Police organized different campaigns/ programmes to encourage the general public under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign’ to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Chandigarh Police is also spreading awareness among the people about the instructions and guidelines under Flag code of India and the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 while hoisting the National Flag, in their respective areas.

Today, Chandigarh Police carried out “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign/ programmes at different places organized by the police Stations& units which is mentioned as under:-

  1. National Flag hoisting programme held at PCR office, Sector 26, Chandigarh participated by PCR staff members.
  2. National Flag hoisting programme held at Police Station, Sector 03, Chandigarh participated by police station staff.
  3. National Flag hoisting programme held at RTC, Sector 26, Chandigarh participated by the RTC staff.
  4. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav / TirangaYatra on bikes/cars by ITBP from Behlana Campus led by Sh. Kuldeep Singh (Company Commandar).
  5. Marathon / Run for Tiranga by 60/70 members/students of SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh passed through main market, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
  6. Police Station Manimajra along with the 100/150 members of Muslim Community hold TirangaYatra from Maszid Motor Market and passed through Main Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh.
  7. CID unit of Chandigarh Police hold ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally started from MasjidMansa Devi Road, Manimajra with participation of 80/100 local residents.
  8. National Flag hoisting and cultural programme at RWA, MHC, Sector 13, Chandigarh. Law Commissioner Haryana was the Chief Guest. Ms. SarabjitKaur, Mayor, Chandigarh along with other members was present.
    1. Celebration of Azadi ka AmritMahotsav by making human chain with participation of 10,000 local residents led by Sh. Parbhdeep Singh (HOD) at Cricket Stadium, Sector-16, Chandigarh.
    2. National Flag hosting at Chandigarh Traffic Park, Sector-23, Chandigarh by the traffic police staff.
    3. Painting Competition organized by Chandigarh Police Family Welfare Association held Multi-purpose Hall, Police Lines Sector-26 Chandigarh with participation of 103 students of GMHS under theme 'Har Ghar Tiranga.'
