Chandigarh, 25.09.21-Department of NSS in association with Centre for Medical Physics and GMCH-32 h organized BLOOD DONATION CAMP at the STUDENT CENTRE, Panjab Univeristy, Chandigarh, today.
Prof. Ashwani Koul, NSS Programme Coordinator welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Kumar, DGP, SBI of the event. Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Regional Manager, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief-Manger and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar from SBI were also present
Dr. Richa Sharma (USOL), Dr. Anuj Kumar (DCSA) and around 25 NSS student volunteers participated in the event. Total 81 people donated blood. Blood donors were also registered by DATRI for their Blood Stem Cell donations. Blood Donation Camp signing campaigning was also organized.
Dr. Vivek Kumar, NSS Programme Officer and Chairperson, Centre for Medical Physics thanked all blood donors and doctors along with supporting staff. Blood donation is the act of giving blood to someone who needs it. It is not just about giving blood, but it is an act of kindness that saves the lives of hundreds of people. These fifteen minutes of blood donation can save someone’s entire life.
