Chandigarh, September 17:- Haryana Governor and Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that education should be highly valuable. The students should learn in a way to become job providers. He said that more women candidates should be enrolled in skill development courses as they have more learning potential.

The Governor was addressing the first convocation of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University at Palwal district today. Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma was also present on the occasion.

In the programme, Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya conferred degrees to 159 students in various academic courses. He also conferred two honorary degrees on this occasion.

After felicitating the students, the Governor said that after completing academics, receiving degrees certificate is the prime dream of every student and their dream has been fulfilled today.

Honorary PhD degrees have been awarded to the students giving their best performance in their respective fields is a commendable step, he added.

Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that the State Government is doing better work in the field of skill development, which will create more opportunities for self-employment. Appreciating the activities of the university, he said that the University has also been awarded by ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The University has been awarded by Scotch under the dual education model.

Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister Mr. Mool Chand Sharma extended best wishes to all the graduates for their bright future endeavors’. He said that the Skill University has been set up by the Government to develop skills among students in the State.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Sh. Raj Nehru said that the University has gained high achievements in various fields. Referring to the partnership with the industries, he said that the university has so far entered into partnership with more than 100 industries, which will enable more students to enhance their skills.

Manohar Lal today inaugurated 'Seva and Samarpan' Bisa Parv at Gurugram which is being started across the country from today. This festival will start from today and will run till October 7. Under this campaign, various works related to social welfare and service will be done for 20 days.

The Chief Minister reached Sushant Lok Phase-3 in Gurugram today to attend a blood donation camp organized under the 'Seva and Samarpan' campaign and on this occasion, he also officially launched the campaign to mark the celebrations of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. On this occasion, he encouraged the blood donors and inquired about their well-being.

Later, interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that since October 7, 2001, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's public life had began and on the same day only he took over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, so this campaign would be carried out for 20 days.

September 25, which is the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya be celebrated as ' Samarpan Diwas' and October 2 is the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. In this way, by combining these four festivals, the Bisa festival of 'Seva and Samarpan' will be run for 20 days, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that along with KMP, a 121 km long Orbital Railway Corridor starting from Palwal to Sonipat is going to be built. In this, the program will be jointly organized by Indian Railways and Haryana Government. Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has been invited for laying the foundation stone, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Responding to another question regarding health facilities, the Chief Minister said that preparations are underway to upgrade the civil hospital in Gurugram to a 400 bedded hospital. Health facilities are being increased in Gurugram according to the increasing population. Where there is a need for Community Health Centers, CHCs are being opened. People are getting facilities according to the pace at which Gurugram is progressing.

Narendra Modi has several decisions in the country's interest. On the issue of farmer movement, the Chief Minister said that as far as the agitation of the farmers is concerned, the Congress has fanned the flames of this agitation. He said that since there is BJP government in Haryana, it is being targeted. He said that most people do not know about the three laws. In democracy, everyone has the right to voice their opinion and no one is being stopped from protesting peacefully. However, if anyone breaks the law, strict action will be taken taken as per the rules. He said that the option of mandis have been given to the farmers, the farmers have the choice to sell their crop anywhere. This agricultural law is in the interest of the farmers.

The Chief Minister said that Mera Paani Meri Virasat started for water conservation by the Haryana Government has yielded positive results and the farmers have also given full support to this Vision of the Government. The campaign to save water has proved successful and even the farmers have appreciated this development.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is providing 24 hours electricity in 5500 villages under Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon scheme.

Regarding the ambitious plan of the state government, the Chief Minister said that under Parivaar Pehchan Patra (PPP), the family has been considered a unit and benefits of government schemes will be provided according to this unit. He said that the target of the government has to ensure minimum income of the very poor families of the state, under the Antodaya Parivaar Uthan Yojana which was started by the Chief Minister. Under this scheme survey work is in progress. He said that the Haryana Government will deliver the benefit of various welfare schemes to the doorstep of the eligible families and will also create awareness about the schemes by going door to door.

On topic of the constable recruitment paper leak case, the Chief Minister said that the first paper leak gang was found to have political protection, we have not forgotten any case. The state government has overcome all the loopholes in the system and has also nabbed the accused in the case. He said that the state government has only given government jobs on merit. He said that the government's goal is to ensure employment for everyone in Haryana by 2024.

Chandigarh, September 17 – Haryana has won Awards for the outstanding implementation of National Quality Assurance Standards for the Financial Year 2018-19 to 2020-21 in the categories of – CHC (Community Health Centres) (Category-II), PHC (Primary Health Centre) (Category-II) while it has received the first runner-up award for UPHC (Urban Primary Health Centre) (Category-II) by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij has congratulated the Health Department for this accomplishment. He said that the Department has been working consistently so as to improve the healthcare facilities in the State and the efforts have ensured superlative health facilities across the State. The Department has been given these Awards during a virtual function held on the completion of Rogi Suraksha Saptah (Patient Safety Week) which was held today. The function was chaired by Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Sh. Haryana Government has administered 21,69,216 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to the eligible beneficiaries in the State during the ‘Vaccination Week’

Chandigarh, September 17– Haryana Government has administered 21,69,216 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to the eligible beneficiaries in the State during the ‘Vaccination Week’, which started on September 13, 2021 (Monday) till today September 17, 2021.

Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson of the Health Department said that the State has been using various Information, Education and Communication (IEC) strategies to ensure maximum penetration of COVID-19 vaccine. He said that the State has administered 21,69,216 vaccination doses in this week and in total it has administered 2,04,69,506 doses till date. The Vaccination Week was started with an aim to provide expedite the process of vaccine administration.

Sharing details in this regard the spokesperson said that today around 3,63,719 beneficiaries were administered vaccines doses of which 2,62,351 beneficiaries were administered the first dose and 1,01,368 beneficiaries were administered the second dose.

Haryana Police arrest two with heroin in Fatehabad

Chandigarh, September 17 - Haryana Police has arrested two persons in connection with smuggling of narcotics and seized 265 gram of heroin from their possession in Fatehabad district.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the accused were arrested while a team of crime investigation agency was patrolling to keep a tab on anti-social elements.

Based on suspicion, two bike riders coming from Bhuna side were arrested. When police nabbed and frisked them, 265 gram of heroin was recovered from their possession. Arrested accused were the residents of Bhuna.

The accused were trying to supply heroin somewhere but were caught by the police. The value of seized heroin in the international market is worth lakhs of rupees.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and further investigation is underway.

HSSC paper leak: Wanted with Rs 2 lakh bounty arrested from Delhi

40 accused have been arrested so far

Chandigarh, Sept 17- In yet another catch, Haryana Police has arrested a wanted and rewarded criminal, carrying a bounty of Rs 2 lakh from Delhi in connection with the paper leak during the Haryana Police constable recruitment written test. A total of 40 accused have been arrested by the police so far.

While giving information here today, a spokesperson of Haryana Police said that arrested accused, which is another key accused of the case, was identified Mohammad Afzal Dar, a resident of Wasim Bagh, Hazrat Bal, Srinagar.

In this case, a reward of Rs 2 lakh each was announced for giving any information leading to the arrest of two accused and Rs 50,000 each for the arrest of nine accused.

Police has already arrested accused Muzaffar Ahmed, who carried a reward of Rs two lakh, from Jammu, while the arrest of accused Mohammad Afzal was pending, who was caught after a tip-off from near Delhi Airport. Apart from this, 6 accused with a bounty of Rs 50000 have also been arrested.

During the remand period, police has recovered two mobile phones used in the crime from the possession of accused Muzaffar Ahmed while two mobile phones used in the crime have also been recovered from the possession of accused Ved Prakash.

It is worthwhile to mention that in the case a police team had arrested three accused along with the answer key in Kaithal on August 7, 2021. A total of 40 accused including the key accused have been arrested so far in the said case. Further investigation is underway.

Giving information about this, an official spokesperson said that this seniority list has been prepared on the basis of their regular joining date in the post of Art Teacher. If any matter is related to the joining date of two or more teachers on the same day, then in that case the seniority of the teacher will be determined on the basis of date of birth. If joining date and date of birth are also same, then his seniority will be determined alphabetically.

Directorate of School Education has uploaded the estimated seniority list of Haryana Education Service (HES-1) officers on the department's portal. If anyone has an objection in this list, then he can give his presentation in the next 15 days, after that no hearing will be held.

Haryana Police seizes 104 MTP kits, 28230 prohibited medicines

Chandigarh, Sept 17- In a major success, Haryana Police has seized 28230 prohibited medicines and 104 medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) kits during a raid at a house in Karnal district. A woman was also arrested in this connection.

Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that police arrested the woman after recovering prohibited medicines and MTP kits from a house located in New Premnagar in Karnal.

A police team got a tip off that accused Kamal Sikka, who has been supplying prohibited medicines for a long time, has brought a large quantity of intoxicants, MTP kits and other banned medicines from Delhi. He has kept some medicines at home and has gone to supply the rest to someone.

Based on the credible input, a police team along with Drug authorities conducted a raid at the house. A search by the team led to the seizure of 13000 prohibited tablets, 10800 prohibited tramadol capsules, 1200 tablets of alprazolam, 2880 of lomotil and 350 other prohibited tablets. Police arrested the wife of the accused.

During the initial probe, it was revealed that the accused Kamal Sikka is involved in the illegal trade of bringing prohibited medicines from Delhi at cheap prices and supplying them at higher rates. The accused had brought these banned medicines from Delhi in the train. The investigation also revealed that the accused was earlier arrested in the year 2015 also by the Karnal police with prohibited medicines. The accused in that case came out of jail a few months back after serving a five-year sentence.

A case has been registered in this connection and efforts are being made to arrest the key accused. Further probe is underway.
