Chandigarh – 27th July 2021: State Bank of India completed 215 years of service this year. To commemorate the occasion Chandigarh Circle of the Bank conducted a campaign to plant 215000 trees by all branches/ offices of the bank in states of Punjab, Haryana, H.P., and UTs of Chandigarh, J&K, and Ladakh.

As unique Tribute and Homage to the valour of our Soldiers, the Bank completed the campaign to plant 215000 trees on Kargil Vijay Diwas. The tree plantation campaign was started on State Bank Day, 01st July, 2021. The Chandigarh Circle Chief General Manager of SBI, Sh. Anukool Bhatnagar dedicated the campaign in the service of the nation and planted the 215000th Tree at Local Head Office, SBI Chandigarh Circle.

For promoting green cover and clean air, staff members across the circle participated in Tree plantation drive and planted 215000 trees to make this drive a huge success to fight the air pollution.
