PUNJAB CM ANNOUNCES EX-GRATIA & JOB FOR FAMILY MEMBER OF MARTYR NAIB SUBEDAR PARWINDER SINGH

Chandigarh, February 27:Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday announced ex-gratia compensation of Rs 50 lakh, along with government job to a family member of Naib Subedar Parwinder Singh from 22 Punjab, who laid down his life in High Altitude Area of Batalik sector (Leh) along the Line of Control. The Junior Comissioned officer is survived by his father, wife and two sons aged 11 and 13 years.

Extending his sympathies to the family of the martyr, the Chief Minister said the state government would provide all possible help and support to them.

The mortal remains of the martyr will be reaching his native place in Jagraon on February 28 (Sunday) and the cremation would be held the same day.

PUNJAB BHAWAN DECLARED EXTENDED PRECINCT OF THE HOUSE FOR BUDGET SESSION

Chandigarh, February 27:Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana KP Singh has declared the Punjab Bhawan, Sector-3, Chandigarh as an extended precinct of the House for the Budget session of 15th Punjab Vidhan Sabha in view of resurging COVID-19 pandemic.

The order, issued by Secretary Punjab Vidhan Sabha reads that the 15th Punjab Vidhan Sabha has been summoned to meet its 14th Session (Budget session) on March 1, 2021 (Monday) at 11:00 AM. In view of the rising COVID-19 epidemic, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana KP Singh has ordered that Punjab Bhawan would be an extended precinct of the House from 10:00 PM on February 28, 2021 till the completion of proceedings of the 14th session of the house and all the rules and regulations of the house would be applicable in the extended precinct.

PSPCL contributing significantly in implementing Ghar Ghar Naukari under leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh: A.Venu Prasad

Given 11784 jobs since January 2017

Chandigarh, February 27:The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is performing a fundamental role for powering the wheels of progress in the state besides making enormous contribution in the implementation of the Ghar Ghar Naukari (Job to every household) an initiative of Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh.

Disclosing this, PSPCL CMD A.Venu Prasad said that in order to provide better facilities to consumers, PSPCL has given recruited 10378 employees in the past 4 years. "The PSPCL has given jobs to 7866 technical employees of 17 different categories and 2512 non technical employees of 10 different categories", said the CMD.

Pointing out further, the CMD said that recently PSPCL has advertised 2632 posts of 5 different categories including 1700 assistant linemen. He further said that the recruitment process for the appointment of these posts will start in near future.

Meanwhile, the CMD also added that PSPCL has already given employment to 1406 dependents of deceased employees of the corporation since January 2017. Divulging the details, he added that 1112 dependants have been given jobs under group 'D' and 294 under group 'C'.

CMD said that the employed employees are while serving the PSPCL also contributing for the progress and development of the Punjab.

Punjab’s 38 IAS and 16 IPS officer appointed as Election Observers for poll-bound five states: CEO Dr. Raju

Chandigarh, Fabruary 27 :Election Commission of india today appointed 38 IAS as general Observers and 16 IPS officer of Punjab as Police observers for poll bound five states Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Union Territory Puducherry.

Disclosing this here today, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab (CEO) Dr. S. Karuna Raju said that ECI will conduct a briefing meeting of Observers on March 3rd, 2021 through video conference in this regard.

He informed that Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua, Mr. Anurag Agarwal, Ms. Raji P.
