Chandigarh, 07 Feb 2021: The 1Chandigarh Air Squadron of NCC conducted its combined annual training camp- at NCC Complex from February 05 to 07. Camp Commandant Group Captain M R Pandeya said,07 instructors, two NCC caretaker officers along with administrative officer were also the part of the camp. As many as 33 senior wing and senior divisions, including 13 girl cadets from PGGC-11 and DAV College Sector 10 participated in the camp. All Cadets participated in personality and character development capsule which was held on 05 Feb 2021 by country’s first blade runner Major DP Singh and an interactive session conducted by Col Varinder Sharma, a trained Group Testing Officer on 06 Feb 2021, which helped the cadets to enhance leadership skills, self-development, mindset and to make cadets understand their responsibility towards society. During the camp,cadets participated in NCC indoor and outdoor training like drill, weapon drill, weapon training, Aeromodelling and service subjects training.Cadets also interacted with their own senior Captain PreetiChowdhary – ex airwing cadet Chandigarh, who was adjudged All india 2nd best Airwing Cadet of the Nation, won coveted sword of honor at Officers Training Academy Chennai and recently was on Rajpath Parade with Chhilka equipment on 26 January 2021.

Addressing the valedictory function Station Liaison Officer Dr Bikram Rana, OSD Education UT Chandigarh said that discipline and hard work yield result, if it is put up in right direction during the young age. He was mesmerised by the cultural performances by the various team of the NCC cadets and lauded their performance.Dr Bikram Rana appreciated the conduct and keenness of the cadets to learn during the Camp. First Aid and CPR -Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation demonstration was also organized by Airforce experts in the field. The cadets also expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the training team who trained them.

Few cadets while talking to this daily share their training at the camp and were seen happy with the quality food and training environment they received with cultural diversity among the members concerned.
