Chandigarh 06 Feb 2021.- Thirty three cadets including 13 girls from the 1 Chandigarh Air wing NCC have been given an insight to SSB to prepare for the Services Selection Board (SSB) evaluation.

The programme, named ‘An Insight to SSB’ was conducted today by Col Varinder Sharma, a trained and qualified Group Testing Officer.

The interactive session was being conducted as part of training for cadets in ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp.

Vacancies in our Armed Forces are filled only on merit. This is one of the chief reasons why the Armed forces are among the most reliable and efficient organisations in India, said Group Captain M R Pandeya.

Selection for Armed Forces is through the detailed tests for over a week by Services Selection Board, followed by week-long medical tests. The SSB tests the candidates’ knowledge, intellect, IQ, decision-making, planning capability, psychology, extempore speaking, etc, said Col Varinder Sharma.

The NCC trains cadets for physical fitness as part of cadets’ training. Joining our Armed Forces is a good career option and the time to train NCC cadets is now, said Group Captain M R Pandeya, CO Air wing NCC Chandigarh.
